GANGS ALL HERE - MY WEEKEND 'GO TO' PIECES

The amount of clothing I have vs the places I go ratio is way off; always shopping, never wearing. I blame work. I usually blame work where I can, but in all seriousness, two full days off a week is not enough time to parade around all the purchases I couldn't, but did, afford. Not to mention I'm in constant competition with myself as to whether I channel the whole "you can never be overdressed" thing, or "I've given up at life and spend most my time eating on the couch in my undies" vibe. The latter usually wins, but only because I spend most my time eating on the couch in my undies. Let a girl live, would you?

Anyway, this weekend was a perfect opportunity to make myself semi presentable. Not much I could do about my acne riddled skin, but I made up for it by cracking out some beautiful presents I've received recently to accessorise my outfit. A bit of magicians misdirection; distract people with shiny, leathery goods to avoid them looking at my shiny leathery face.

Recently I found an absolute bargain! I bought the Maurie and Eve Amira dress in white for only $50, shipping included. If I remember correctly I bought it from StyleMilk, an online store. For some reason their website is unavailable at the moment but keep an eye out for their return.

I've gone from strictly high heels to strictly sneakers these last few years. Comfort is definitely paramount to me now, although I do whip out a good heel every now and then. I grabbed my new, beautiful Adidas NMD R1's my man so kindly lined up and bought for me before they sold out. Given the little pink detailing on my colour way choice I decided to finally use my birthday present from my sister. A Zodiac Collection, Diane Von Furstenberg clutch.

My sister bought this for me for my 25th birthday but gave it to me months later when she finally returned home from living Norway. It's stunning, I can't do it justice. I absolutely adore the big Aquarius symbol on the front, and the glitter detailing. It's gorgeous. The Zodiac series is one worth having a look at. You're not restricted to clutches only, you can find sweet key chains with the zodiac badge. I have posted some photos below.

And, because I'm extremely spoilt and lucky I have a new Michael Kors watch to show off. Given, it doesn't work as it should, it still looks great and breaks up the outfit with a bit of gold. I'm currently in the process of getting it working slash getting money back. A headache I could do without but where is the fun in that?
