TAKE US TO THAILAND

It's common knowledge my man and I met in Thailand; because of that, the place definitely holds a lot of meaning to us. We haven't been back since the old ball and chain lived there 3 years ago, so its safe to say we are overdue for a visit.
Two Thai brothers work as trainers at our gym, Rock and Moon. They train my ninja before all his fights. Rock and Moon invited us back to their home town of Pattaya, Thailand over Christmas and New Years. We decided to stay in Brisbane for Christmas but jumped at the opportunity to spend a few relaxing weeks over there with them. We fly out on Boxing Day and to say I'm excited is an understatement.
I can't wait to spend another New Years in Thailand with my love. We met over New Years in 2010/11. We got to recreate it in 2013 and now again in just over a month. We sure are lucky to be able to travel like we do.
Accomodation has been booked and paid for along with our flights. All we need now is spending money. We booked a place at the Unixx Apartments in South Pattaya, its unbelievably reasonable with regards to price. I booked through AirBnb; anytime we travel I try and use Airbnb. It's usually a significantly lower price for higher quality accomodation. Not only that, it's so easy and you get to live like a local. We used it all through Japan and California with no complaints. If you get stuck, or you don't know what to do or where to go, the host is there to help and provide you with advice. I highly recommend creating an AirBnb account if you are planning on travelling. Or, if you're looking to make a few bucks you can put one of your rooms, or entire apartment for rent. I know a few people who do this when they go away, for a bit of extra cash and to have someone occupy their home while they travel.
I'm counting down the days til we leave. I really don't enjoy Christmas since Mum left us, it's a difficult time and I honestly feel nothing but anxiety during it anymore. It's a shame but the truth. It'll keep me sane knowing the day after I'll be on my way to sipping cocktails on the beach while simultaneously being massaged.
As mentioned in a previous post, I said I wanted to train while I was over there. I know I don't fight or anything but I think I would be stupid not to take such an amazing opportunity while I had it. Muay Thai is such a large part of Thai life, it's pretty cool to be able to take part in that and experience the training side over being a spectator. I'd kick myself if I avoided the opportunity especially because I genuinely enjoy training and have gotten more into it this past year. Not only that but we are going with locals, I mean what a great chance to have them show me different gyms. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous. I am; terrified, actually. I don't know why! I think it's the unknown and not really knowing what to expect that is putting me in panic mode. I watched my man train when he lived there, but he makes everything look easy so I can't really rely on that properly. All I know is it's going to be sweltering hot, hard, and they'll be long ass sessions. I have just over a month to make sure my fitness is as best it can be and technique is the least embarrassing it can be. I know I'll smash it out, I can do anything but I'm still a nervous Smelley. God help me, haha.
