SUNNY SAWTELL

My brother and his beautiful fiancé live in sunny Sawtell, NSW with their new addition to the family, Moe. Sawtell is about a 5 hour drive from Brisbane where I live. If I'm honest it bums me out Ed lives so far away from me. We were inseparable living together, I really did idolise him growing up so it was a bit of a change when he moved; one I'm extremely thankful for now though. After visiting on the weekend it was obvious that he is a new level of happy. It's really awesome to see someone you look up to become so successful not only at work but at home too. It's clear he is exactly where he is meant to be in life; and after some of the adversity he has faced nothing brings me more joy.
I drove down with my Papa B while we revelled in the nostalgia of old tunes and stories. My sister was already there when we arrived which was perfect. We had a quaint little dinner and drinks before getting some rest for the next day.
Saturday we woke and went for a stroll along the beach before stopping off at Split for a coffee and some breakfast. Moe was as cute as ever. I was so excited when Ebbie asked me if I wanted to take him to swimming lessons. When I tell you Moe is so cute he could throw up on me and I'd say "that's okay, you can do it again", I'm not lying; and thats exactly what happened to me in the pool. I was a vomit bag twice. That's not including the time he got me after breakfast either. That afternoon we had a barbecue at the creek with some beers and wine. We headed to Hello Sawtell for dinner which was incredible as always. Delicious cocktails, great food and even better company - what more could you ask for?
Sunday was spent on the beach. Ed and Claude took advantage of the three babysitters and went for a surf. Papa, Lis and I ogled over Moe. At six months I'm pretty sure he already hates how many photos I take of him already.
If you're ever down Coffs Harbour way, I highly suggest you take a look at Sawtell. It's a relatively unassuming place but my God is it perfect. A small little town with amazing beaches and restaurants. The food their continuously blows me away. Bellingen is near by too. A rainforest hideaway which is perfect for picnic and sucking back on a fresh home made, alcoholic ginger beer from the Belli Brewery.
